Cheryl Ibanez is a Maryland real estate agent originally born and raised in the DC/MD/VA area and has resided in three different Maryland counties.  She has an extensive background in corporate philanthropy, budget tracking, fundraising and community engagement that requires personable and empathetic leadership and followership in identifying needs, determining best support methods, and rallying the core of volunteers to service those needs and causes.  These are all great attributes of the passion and leadership Cheryl incorporates daily into in her real estate business and in working with her clients.  She believes that home ownership is one of the most important components to building strong families, financial stability, and thriving communities and Cheryl will work hard to accomplish her clients’ goals by listening to their desires and needs and prioritizing those in guiding them through every step of the purchase or selling process.  Whether it’s the steps to first-time homeownership, downsizing or expanding, Cheryl works hard to provide the best results and in fulfilling her clients’ desires.  She has extensive knowledge and continuous training with keen ability to keep current on the real estate industry and market trends, comparative pricing, home purchasing programs for buyer referral, creative staging for optimum seller experience, and suggestions for the best possible results.  She performs and serves her clients remembering that this is one of, if not the, biggest decision, change and/or investment of their lives and it should be a pleasant experience.
Cheryl is a graduate of the University of Maryland Global Campus earning a degree in management studies.  Over her lifetime, she has worked in the corporate professional arena for over 35 years, raised two beautiful adult children, volunteered for various programs and committees leading and following instruction, organizing events and engagement opportunities.  Most notable are her church as youth activities coordinator, member of the International multi-cultural committee, and spent one term on the Executive Committee as Historian for the Potomac Valley Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW PVS), to name a few.  Cheryl has received recognition from the YWCA National Capital Area, Women of Excellence Award (2015); a workplace Quality Award nominee for successful development and implementation of an employee giving site (2016); and a workplace Making an IMPACT Award for participation on an employee cultural heritage committee (2014).
In Cheryl’s free time she enjoys being with her children, family and friends, volunteering, interior decorating & cooking, trying different restaurant cuisines, cultural and performing arts, playing tennis, traveling near and far, repurposing and designing arts/crafts, and just about anything that seems interesting and fun for “laughter is good for the soul.”
